In October 2025, Luxembourg's annual inflation rate remained steady at 2.7%, matching the level recorded in the prior month and representing the highest rate since March 2024. Notable price increases occurred in sectors such as housing and utilities, rising to 6.5% from September's 6.1%, and in furnishings, household equipment, and maintenance, which saw an increase of 0.6% from 0.4%. Additionally, clothing and footwear experienced a hike to 1.2% from 0.6%, while recreation and culture advanced to 4.0% from 3.3%. Miscellaneous goods and services also rose slightly from 1.8% to 1.9%. On the other hand, these upward trends were tempered by slower growth in the cost of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which eased to 2.3% from 2.5%, along with a decelerated increase in transport costs, now at 1.7% compared to the previous 2.1%. The communication sector saw a more pronounced decline, with costs dropping to -2.1% from -1.7%. Month-to-month, consumer prices in Luxembourg dipped by 0.2% in October, following a 0.1% decrease in September.
