On Friday morning, the IDX Composite of Indonesia remained relatively stable, hovering around 8,185. This followed gains from the previous two sessions. Strength in the health tech and utilities sectors countered losses in industrial services and transport. Traders are assessing the implications of the temporary trade truce between the U.S. and China, especially in light of recent data indicating weak private sector activity in China during October. Additionally, investors are anticipating significant local economic data releases next week, which include September trade figures and October's inflation statistics. In a related development, Economy Minister Airlangga Hartarto announced that tariff negotiations between Jakarta and Washington would resume in November, following a suspension caused by the U.S. government shutdown. Among the day’s top performers were Bank Rakyat Indonesia, which saw a 2.2% rise, Bank Syariah Indonesia with a 1.2% increase, and MD Entertainment climbing 2.8%. On the downside, Mayora Indah declined by 3.8%, Adaro Indonesia fell by 2.0%, and Jasa Marga decreased by 1.1%. The markets are on course for their fourth consecutive monthly increase, having risen approximately 1.5% thus far, largely buoyed by optimism regarding potential additional rate cuts from Bank Indonesia.
