15.09.202606:45:00UTC+00French Consumer Prices Edge Higher in August, Monthly CPI Rises to 0.70%

France’s non-seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index (CPI NSA) accelerated in August 2026, with month-over-month inflation edging up to 0.70%, compared with 0.60% in July 2026.

The latest reading, updated on 15 September 2026, highlights a modest pickup in price momentum on a monthly basis. Under the month-over-month comparison, the August figure reflects the change in prices from July to August, while the previous 0.60% print captured the change from June to July.

The back-to-back increases suggest a slight strengthening in short-term inflation dynamics, which investors and policymakers will watch closely for signs of whether price pressures are stabilizing or building further into the autumn.
