Ireland's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate declined to 5% in October 2025, a slight dip from the upwardly revised 5.1% recorded in September. The number of unemployed individuals decreased by 1,700 compared to the previous month, bringing the total to 147,400. Among males, the unemployment rate also slightly decreased to 5% from the revised figure of 5.1% in September, while the female unemployment rate stayed constant at 5%. Examining age demographics, the unemployment rate for the 15–24 age group increased marginally to 13.4%, up from the revised 13.3% in the preceding month. Meanwhile, for those aged 25–74, the unemployment rate saw a minor reduction to 3.8% from 3.9% in the prior month. In contrast, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stood at 4.2% in October 2024.
