China has announced a one-year suspension of the 24% additional tariffs that were imposed on U.S. goods in April. However, it will maintain the 10% duties that were introduced in response to the tariffs initiated by U.S. President Donald Trump on "Liberation Day," according to a statement from the State Council on Wednesday. The Cabinet’s tariff commission also revealed plans to eliminate duties of up to 15% on certain U.S. agricultural imports beginning November 10. Despite this, U.S. soybeans will continue to face a 13% tariff, including a 3% base rate, which keeps them less competitive compared to Brazilian soybeans.
