01.05.202518:11:57UTC+00US Natural Gas Stocks Rise the Most in 2 Years

During the week concluding on April 25th, U.S. utility companies added 107 billion cubic feet of natural gas to their storage, bringing the total to 2.041 trillion cubic feet. This addition closely matched market predictions of 110 billion cubic feet, marking the most significant increase in two years. Reports indicate that the surge in stockpiles coincided with record-high natural gas production in the country and the onset of warmer weather following the northern winter. Despite this increase, current storage levels remain 17.6% below those of the previous year and are only 0.2% above the five-year moving average. The East region experienced the most substantial rise in stocks, with an increase of 36 billion cubic feet, followed by the South Central region, which added 34 billion cubic feet.
