2025.09.1006:21:26UTC+00Saudi Industrial Output Growth Highest Since 2023

In July 2025, Saudi Arabia's industrial production saw a notable expansion of 6.5% compared to the same period the previous year, improving from a revised 6.1% growth in June. This marks the most significant increase in industrial output since January 2023. The rise was largely fueled by a 7% surge in manufacturing output, with significant contributions from the production of coke and refined petroleum products, which climbed by 13.8%, and chemicals and chemical products, which rose by 8.9%. Furthermore, mining and quarrying activities experienced a 6.5% growth, propelled by an increase in the country’s oil production to 9.53 million barrels per day in July 2025, up from 8.94 million barrels in the same month of the previous year. Additionally, the sector encompassing water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation reported strong growth of 8.5%, while the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply sector saw a modest rise of 0.9%. On a month-to-month basis, industrial output increased by 1.3% following a revised 1.2% growth in June.
