This upswing was primarily driven by gains in the healthcare, utilities, and logistics sectors. The market's sentiment improved following Indonesia's third-quarter annual GDP growth announcement of 5.04%, which signaled robust economic momentum, undeterred by moderated domestic demand and external challenges. Additionally, there was a positive development with a rebound in government spending, indicative of improved budget execution and fiscal strategies aimed at sustaining key programs. Meanwhile, the central bank has projected that inflationary pressures will remain mild through 2025–2026, aided by stable food supply chains, thereby allowing for a continued supportive monetary policy while keeping an eye on imported cost fluctuations. Investor confidence further strengthened after China declared a one-year suspension of certain tariffs on U.S. products, including plans to remove tariffs of up to 15% on select U.S. agricultural imports starting November 10. Leading the gainers were Bumi Resources with a 7.5% increase, Gojek Tokopedia up by 7.0%, Kalbe Farma with a 6.5% rise, and Indofood CBP advancing by 2.4%.
