EasyJet saw a decline of over 3% after JPMorgan issued a warning about how capacity growth and weaker pricing were impacting the leisure and beach travel sector. Haleon's shares decreased by approximately 4.4% following a downgrade. Meanwhile, Rolls-Royce experienced a slight reduction of 1.1%, even though its Power Systems division secured a significant battery order from Lithuania's Ignitis. Unilever's stock dropped nearly 1% upon the announcement of Srinivas Phatak's appointment as permanent CFO. Conversely, Anglo American rose by 0.8% after forming an agreement with Chile's Codelco to collaboratively develop adjacent copper mines. Economically, the data revealed that wage growth, excluding bonuses, stood at 4.8%, and at 4.7% when including bonuses, both aligning with forecasts. Additionally, the unemployment rate remained steady at 4.7%, and payrolls saw a smaller-than-anticipated decrease of 8,000.
